Distribution: Indo-West Pacific: RĂ©union and Mauritius (western Mascarenes), Madagascar and Saint Brandon's Shoals east to Christmas Island and Cocos-Keeling Islands (Indian Ocean); New Caledonia east to Pitcairn Group; Marianas to Hawaiian Islands and Line Islands; bipolar west-east distribution, no records from Australia and Indonesia to Japan. Habitat: marine.
