Current status: Valid as Pareiorhaphis bahiana (Gosline 1947). Loricariidae: Hypoptopomatinae. Distribution: South America: small drainages near Ilhéus, between Pado and Contas River basins (Bahia State, Brazil). Habitat: freshwater.
