Paralectotypes: MHNG (1, dry). Type catalog: Mahnert 1976:473 [ref. 21535] with emendation to saussurei, Weber 1998:6 [ref. 32707] as holotype. Lectotype selected by Mead 1972:9 [ref. 6976]. •Synonym of Eumegistus brevorti (Poey 1860) -- (Mead 1972:15 [ref. 6976], Gomes 1990:760 [ref. 18692]). Current status: Synonym of Eumegistus brevorti (Poey 1860). Bramidae. Habitat: marine.
