Paralectotypes: BMNH 1903.5.15.100 (1), CAS-SU 6814 (4), USNM 50350 (1). Type catalog: Böhlke 1953:78 [ref. 12291]. Author is C. H. Gilbert. Appeared first without distinguishing features in Jordan & Evermann 1896:401 [ref. 2442].
