Holotype (unique): BMNH 1887.12.7.14. •Valid as Diceratias bispinosus (Günther 1887) -- (Uwate 1979:139 [ref. 7015], Balushkin & Fedorov 1986:856 [ref. 8114], Stewart & Pietsch 1998:10 [ref. 23378], Pietsch 1999:2030 [ref. 24766], Shao et al. 2008:244 [ref. 29952], Pietsch 2009:354 [ref. 30766]). Current status: Valid as Diceratias bispinosus (Günther 1887). Diceratiidae. Distribution: Indian Ocean and western Pacific. Habitat: marine.

Figured in Alcock 1900: Pl. 28 (fig. 3) [ref. 20536] as Onirodes glomerosus. •Valid as Paroneirodse glomerosus Alcock 1890 -- (Maul 1973:669 [ref. 7171]). •Synonym of Diceratias bispinosus (Günther 1887) -- (Uwate 1979:139 [ref. 7015], Pietsch 2009:354 [ref. 30766]). Current status: Synonym of Diceratias bispinosus (Günther 1887). Diceratiidae. Habitat: marine.

trilobus, Diceratias Balushkin [A. V.] & Fedorov [V. V.] 1986:855, Fig. [Voprosy Ikhtiologii v. 26 (no. 5); ref. 8114] Off Honshu, Japan, 38°20.7'N, 142°31.9'E, depth 1211-1216 meters. Holotype (unique): ZIN 47426. On p. 136 in English translation. •Valid as Diceratias trilobus Balushkin & Fedorov 1986 -- (Pietsch et al. 2006:S97 [ref. 28982], Pietsch 2009:356 [ref. 30766], Stewart & Pietsch 2015:917 [ref. 34271], Ho et al. 2016:270 [ref. 34483], Fricke et al. 2019:74 [ref. 36673]). Current status: Valid as Diceratias trilobus Balushkin & Fedorov 1986. Diceratiidae. Distribution: Widespread in southeastern Indian Ocean and western Pacific. Habitat: marine.
