Distribution: Indo-West Pacific: East Africa (Mozambique, Tanzania, Kenya), Seychelles, Aldabra (Seychelles), Saint Brandon's Shoals (Cargados Carajos) and Mascarenes (La Réunion, Mauritius, Rodrigues) east to Wake Atoll, Line Islands (Kiribati) and Tuamotu Archipelago (French Polynesia), south to Western Australia, New Caledonia and Tonga. Habitat: marine.
