barracuda, Esox Edwards [M.] in Catesby 1771:1 [The natural history of Carolina, Florida and the Bahama Islands; ref. 774] Bahamas, Western Atlantic. Catesby 1771 is a rejected work, and unavailable (Opinions 89 and 259) but the appendix by Edwards is available. This species should date to authorship as above and not to Walbaum 1792.
